StaffIOPS staff members belong to one of the seven participating universities. There are two categories of staff: senior and junior staff members. Both categories require acknowledgment in their field, according to international publications. Senior staff mebers must have (co-)responsibility in supervising IOPS PhD students. Junior staff members have obtained their PhD less than five years ago; they do not necessarily have (co-)responsibility in supervising dissertation research. Associated staffIn 1994, the establishment of graduate schools and the rearrangement of staff members because of these schools, caused IOPS to introduce a new category for those who are – for formal reasons – not or no longer able to be part of the regular IOPS staff. They are called associated staff and fellows, and their requirements are equal to those of regular senior and junior staff members. Dissertation students of these associated staff members can be admitted to IOPS as external dissertation student. Both regular and associated IOPS staff members have to meet the IOPS Admission Criteria (in dutch). |
