Prerequisites:
Statistics and methodology at the level of the Dutch bachelor programs in the behavioral and social sciences. Moreover, some familiarity with (1) bootstrap methods at the level of R.R. Wilcox (2003), Applying contemporary statistical techniques, San Diego, CA: Academic Press (chapter 7), and (2) multilevel analysis at the level of J.J. Hox (2002), Multilevel analysis: Techniques and applications, Mahwah, NJ: Erlbaum (chapters 1 and 2), or T.A.B. Snijders and R.J. Bosker (1999), Multilevel analysis, London: Sage (chapters 1-6).
Objectives:
(1) to acquire methodological knowledge that is needed for advising researchers in the behavioral and social sciences on their research problems, and
(2) to get experience with methodological consultancy.
