IOPS Winter Conference 2025 – Utrecht University

We look back on the conference in Utrecht being inspired with one another’s research and presentations, and exchanged ideas. Invited speaker Ellen Hamaker, Professor of Longitudinal Data Analysis (Utrecht University) gave her keynote speech on “Bridging disciplinary divides in statistics and causal inference: How to & why“.
The winner of the Best Poster presentation is Franziska Rüffer on ‘Correcting moderator effects in meta-analysis for publication bias’. The winner of the Best Oral presentation is Hadi Mohammadi, presenting ‘EvalMORAAL: Interpretable Chain-of-Thought and LLM-as-Judge Evaluation for Moral Alignment in Large Language Models ’.

IOPS Summer Conference 2025 – Leiden University

We enjoyed an inspiring Summer Conference 2025 at Leiden University with interesting discussions  and relaxed meetings. The winners of the Best Poster presentation is Aditi Bhangale on ‘Relaxed SEM-based out-of-sample prediction ’. The winner of the Best Oral presentation is Kevin Kloos, presenting ‘Comparing Correction Methods to Reduce Misclassification Bias’.
Andrés Felipe Peréz Alonso is the winner of the Best Paper Award 2024 on his paper ‘Mixture Multigroup Structural Equation Modeling: A Novel Method for Comparing Structural Relations Across Many Groups’.
