Project
Tracking mood and mood disorder using mobile sensing

Smartphones are ubiquitous in today’s society and harvest a wealth of information about people’s behavior. At the same time, mood disorders are highly prevalent and incur a large cost for individuals, their social environment, and society. The aim of this project is to study the potential of mobile sensing data (data about people’s behavior that can automatically be collected by smartphones) to predict people’s mood states and their risk for mood disorder. The planned research consists of the combination of experience sampling methods and mobile sensing data in both clinical and non-clinical populations.
