Prof.dr. Ivo Molenaar overleden
Op 26 februari jl. is prof.dr. Ivo Molenaar overleden. Als hoogleraar Statistiek en Meettheorie was hij tot 2000 verbonden aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Eind jaren tachtig was hij betrokken bij de oprichting van de Interuniversitaire Onderzoeksschool voor Psychometrie en Sociometrie (IOPS). Ivo Molenaar verrichtte baanbrekend onderzoek op het gebied van de Item-Response-Theorie (IRT), waarbij vooral zijn werk aan het Rasch en Mokken model genoemd moet worden. Zijn IRT-onderzoek leidde tot het hoofdredacteurschap van het tijdschrift Psychometrika, en later tot de benoeming als president van de Psychometric Society. Wij danken hem voor zijn grote inzet en betrokkenheid.
Lianne Ippel wins prize for best PhD thesis
At the recent international General Online Research Conference, Lianne Ippel won the prize for best PhD thesis. Her thesis was on Multilevel Modeling for Data Streams with Dependent Observations. Her thesis supervisors were Maurits Kaptein and Jeroen Vermunt.
